Abstract: In an ultra-long space flight, the regular reproduction of the effects of weight loading along the vertical axis of the body corresponding to the weight of human body on Earth ensures a favorable course of the mechanisms of readaptation to Earth’s conditions. Based on the results of the examination of the cosmonaut during the 1-year space flight, it was established that the experimental period with a decrease in the volume of loading along the vertical axis of the body from the 204th to the 216th day of space flight was accompanied by a moderate decrease in performance, as evidenced by an increase in the pulse sum of work in response to the performance of a standard locomotor load after this period. The parameters of the linear and nonlinear electromyogram during a standard locomotor load made it possible to assess the dynamics of the functions of the neuromuscular system during and after the annual flight. The parameters of an electromyogram as a “digital biopsy” are considered. A comparison of the functional capabilities of the neuromuscular and cardiorespiratory systems after annual and semi-annual flights showed differences in the dynamics of readaptation, which is probably explained by an increase in exposure time to zero gravity conditions. The strength index level exceeding the level required to perform key mission operations and the cosmonaut’s ability to run at a speed of 15 km/h on the 9th day after the flight confirms the possibility of using the Russian system to prevent the negative effects of weightlessness in interplanetary flights.
